Genital Warts Removal
Genital warts are primarily caused by a group of viruses called human papilloma. It takes about two months for these warts to appear after exposure and as long as nine months to incubate. These warts often are seen in groups and can expand to accumulate large genital tissues and some may reappear after treatment which varies depending on its size and location.
There are different ways to treat genital warts with different classes according to sizes and location. Chemical treatment is used to apply to the affected part and washed off hours later. This chemical treatment uses a 25 percent podophyllin solution as medication. Cautiously, Podophyllin must not be used to cure genital warts of pregnant woman because the chemical can be absorbed by the skin which may cause unwanted birth effects for the baby.
Freezing or burning can be done to remove the small warts. This freezing can be done through liquid nitrogen and the burning process through electrodesiccation. Imiquimod is also an example of medicine for genital warts removal. In case other treatments have not worked well in removal of warts, removal in the form of surgery is utmost needed for large genital warts. There are some doctors that do laser surgery to remove genital warts that are hard to cure.
Prevention is always said to be better than cure. Use of condoms and other contraceptives could be a great help to prevent unwanted genital warts growth.
